The Salary Study Committee is responsible for the NBEC salary survey which is distributed on an annual basis. The NBEC salary survey provides the NBEC districts with an opportunity to enter salary and benefit information regarding the various positions in their district. The data is collected by the NBEC and compiled into a notebook which allows the administration to compare similar data. This notebook also contains information from some districts outside of the NWOCA consortium. The compiled notebooks are distributed to any districts which participated in the survey.
The survey includes information regarding the superintendent, treasurer, teachers, custodial staff, foods service staff, EMIS coordinators, technology coordinators, etc... Insurance information and many other benefits are included. Many area superintendents and treasurers find this information helpful during negotiations.
Members of the Salary Study Committee review the contents of the survey each year to determine if any additional data should be collected or if the survey needs to be changed in any way.
